The domestic sulfuric acid market prices have continued to rise recently. As of February 24, the EXW price of 98% sulfur-based sulfuric acid in Shandong ranged from 640 to 730 RMB/ton, while in Zhejiang, it was 620 to 700 RMB/ton. The EXW price of 98% smelting acid ranged from 530 to 590 RMB/ton.
With high raw material sulfur prices, sulfuric acid producers are facing significant cost pressures. Some sulfur-based sulfuric acid prices in South China and East China have been adjusted upward. Additionally, some enterprises have reduced production due to high costs.
Despite the persistently high acid prices and pending factory orders, the market remains strongly supported by costs. However, downstream industries are experiencing cost pressures, leading to stagnant demand in some regions. As a result, market sentiment remains cautious and watchful.
